About the estate

The Wenzl-Kast estate in Gols in the Lake Neusiedl wine region is run as a family business across three generations. The foundation was laid in the early 1970s by Wilhelm Kast, before his daughter Ingrid and her husband Harald took over the winery in the year 2000. Meanwhile, their children Johannes and Kerstin are also firmly integrated into the winery's structures. The cultivated area spans eighteen hectares across various single vineyards around Gols, including prominent sites such as Salzberg, Ungerberg, and Gabarinza. The portfolio includes traditional Austrian grape varieties as well as aromatic varieties, which are crafted into wines such as the Lake Neusiedl DAC denomination.
