About the estate

The Weingut Werlé Erben estate is a family-run winery located in the wine village of Welgesheim in the Rheinhessen region, managed by the Werle family for more than five generations. Today, Kai and Janina Werle run the family winery together with their children as well as Elke and Theo Werle. Across more than 18 hectares of vineyards in northeastern Rheinhessen bordering the Nahe wine region, they cultivate vines on limestone marl, clay, and loam soils. The portfolio includes various white wines such as Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, and Riesling, rosé wines, a white wine made from red Portuguese grapes, as well as robust red wines like Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, and Regent. In the cellar, the white wines are aged in stainless steel tanks, while the red wines are produced through traditional maceration.

The eno directory lists 7 wines, mostly from Silvaner and Pinot Blanc.
