About the estate
Located in Neustadt-Diedesfeld in the Palatinate region, the Stortz estate was founded in 1955 by Aloys Stortz and has been managed in the second generation by Roland Stortz-Nicolaus since the year 2000. The winery transitioned from bulk wine to estate-bottled production and has since farmed its vineyards using strictly organic methods. The grape variety portfolio includes international varieties such as Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Syrah, alongside traditional varieties like Riesling and Auxerrois. This close-to-nature and sustainable vineyard management forms the basis for producing characterful organic wines.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Sauvignon Blanc and Auxerrois. The estate sells to retail.
