About the estate
The German winery Weingut St. Urbans-Hof in Leiwen on the Mosel was founded in 1947 and is run in the third generation by Nik Weis and his family. The approximately 45 hectares of vineyards extend along the Mosel and Saar rivers, cultivating predominantly Riesling in renowned sites alongside Pinot varieties in the estate wine range. The estate is a member of the Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates and cultivates its vineyards traditionally in harmony with nature. The wines are fermented exclusively with natural yeasts. In addition, the estate operates one of Germany's first private vine nurseries, dedicated to researching and propagating old Riesling clones.
