About the estate
The Schmitt-Breit family winery is located in the wine-growing village of Minheim in the heart of the Middle Moselle region. Master winemaker Josef and his wife Josefine manage the vineyards together with their son Thomas. The vineyard areas in the Rosenberg, Kapellchen, Günterslay, and Goldtröpfchen sites are mostly planted with Riesling, supplemented by Müller-Thurgau and Pinot Noir. The estate focuses on the sustainable management of slate soils and a combination of traditional and modern agriculture. In the cellar, the wines undergo gentle processing with the aim of preserving the individual character of each vineyard.
