About the estate

The Weingut Rapp estate has been based in Ebernburg for many generations and was re-founded on the outskirts of the town in 1959. Today, Walter Rapp is in charge of the winery and its wine production. The vineyards are situated in steep locations such as Schlossberg, Rotenberg, and Traiser Rotenfels on claystone, sandstone, and porphyry soils. Riesling is the predominant grape variety, alongside varieties such as Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Müller-Thurgau. Vineyard management includes yield reduction, and the wines are matured in stainless steel tanks or large oak casks depending on the style.

The eno directory lists 22 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Noir. The estate sells to retail.
