About the estate

The Osswald-Gaul winery looks back on a nearly 500-year history of winemaking in the Palatinate, with its origins in Freinsheim. The family business emerged from the merger of two traditional wine estates following the marriage of Cornelia Oßwald and Gerhard Gaul. In 2011, their son Fabian Gaul took over the management of the estate. Having completed his professional training as Germany's top-performing wine technologist, he combines traditional knowledge with modern cellar technology. The wines are produced through a gentle and natural vinification process based on the interplay of soil, climate, and craftsmanship.
