About the estate
The Weingut Meierhof Raggendorf estate is located in the eastern Weinviertel within the Matzner Hügel region and is managed by the family in the sixth generation. The foundation for the winery was laid by grandfather Leopold in the 1970s when he focused on viticulture and expanded the vineyard area to today's 30 hectares. On raw loess soils and loess chernozem, wines grow that mature after selective harvesting and gentle processing. The family intensively relies on natural plant protection, careful canopy management, and soil cultivation. Today, the winery is jointly run by Gerhard Schönner, his children Margit, Benedikt, and Katharina, along with their grandfather.
The eno directory lists 11 wines, mostly from Zweigelt and Grüner Veltliner.
