About the estate
The Weingut Hermann Ludes estate is located in Thörnich on the Moselle and cultivates twelve hectares of vineyards. The family business looks back on a centuries-old tradition and is run by Julian Ludes, who stepped into the footsteps of his uncle Hermann in the year 2020. At the center is the steep Ritsch site with its old, partly own-rooted Riesling vines on rocky slate soils. The working method in the vineyard and cellar is traditional and close to nature, featuring genuine spontaneous fermentation and no artificial additives. The portfolio comprises characterful, long-living Rieslings with a classical profile, intended for distribution to trade and gastronomy.
