About the estate

The Hammes winery is located in the old center of Mülheim an the Moselle and has been run by the family for five generations. On a vineyard area of 7.3 hectares, the estate primarily cultivates the Mülheimer Sonnenlay main growing area with grape varieties such as Riesling, Rivaner, and Pinot varieties. Vineyard management is carried out in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner, supported by funding for steep-slope viticulture. In the cellar, the wines are given time to mature in stainless steel and wooden barrels to produce dry as well as fruity styles. Markus Hammes leads the estate with the support of his family.

The eno directory lists 28 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Blanc.
