About the estate

The Günter Wietor winery is located in Nittel on the southern Wine Moselle. The area is characterized by a Muschelkalk terroir originating from the foothills of the Paris Basin, differing from the slate soils typically found along the Moselle. Together with optimal climatic conditions, this geology forms the foundation for the estate's viticulture. The work focuses on the Elbling grape variety as well as Burgundy wines from the premier site Nitteler Leiterchen. The family-run estate aims to produce terroir-driven and long-lived wines.
