About the estate

The Glatz estate was founded in 1969 by Karl and Anna Glatz in a traditional four-sided farmhouse typical of East Styria and is managed by the family today. Covering twenty hectares of vineyards, the winery cultivates notable sites such as the Berner and Sonntagsberg in Southeast Styria. The regionally typical grape variety range includes Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Morillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Zweigelt, among others. Meticulous vineyard work involving manual harvesting and yield reduction forms the basis for the quality wines. In the cellar, the winery employs a combination of traditional methods, modern technology, and maturation in small barrique barrels.

The eno directory lists 12 wines, mostly from Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The estate sells to horeca.
