About the estate

The Gernot Bäder estate looks back on a family history in winemaking that began in 1888 and is now managed in the fifth generation. Operating purely as a family business, the winery located in Rüdesheim cultivates approximately 15 hectares of vineyards. The vines grow in the sun-drenched Nahe region on soils consisting of loam, loamy mixtures, and red earth. Junior winemaker Uwe Bäder is responsible for crafting the wines, while senior chef Gernot Bäder oversees operations. In addition to viticulture, the family runs a traditional seasonal tavern.
