About the estate
The Gantenbein estate is situated at the edge of the wine village of Fläsch in the Graubünden Rhine Valley and has been run by Martha and Daniel Gantenbein since 1982. The focus lies on carefully planted Burgundy clones, with the majority of the vineyards dedicated to Pinot Noir, complemented by Chardonnay and Riesling. During vinification, pumping and filtration are completely avoided as grapes and juice flow exclusively by gravity. The striking building with its brick facade was designed by architects and houses a cuverie as well as a private distillery for the estate's own marc.
The eno directory lists 3 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The estate sells to importers, distributors, horeca and retail. Export markets include Austria, Germany, France and Netherlands.
