About the estate
The Weinbau Mattes estate is a family business located in the small wine village of Dürnleis in the Weinviertel. The family has been dedicated to viticulture for many generations in the region between Retz and Poysdorf. The vineyards of the estate are situated between Dürnleis and Mailberg. The center of operations is an L-shaped inner courtyard characteristic of the Weinviertel, which includes a modern tasting room. The winery combines traditional values with modern winemaking to produce wines that thrive under the climatic conditions of the area.
