About the estate

The Vršački vinogradi estate cultivates a historical wine-growing region in Europe with origins dating back to the time of the Dacians and Roman rule. Historical records document the significance of the area as early as the 15th century. Following the devastating phylloxera crisis in 1880, more resilient grape varieties were promptly planted, yielding harvests again by 1887. Since then, viticulture has been continuously developed and is closely linked to local wine tourism today. Particularly in Gudurica and Veliko Središte, wineries are renovating their facilities to offer tastings in a rural setting.
