About the estate
The Vinarija Džervin estate is located in Knjaževac in eastern Serbia, on the slopes of the Balkan Mountains and in the Timok river basin, a winegrowing region known since the 2nd century. The history of the enterprise began on March 27, 1927, as a cooperative cellar that later developed into the largest winery in Yugoslavia. Following a turbulent history and ownership changes, the estate is now led by agricultural owner Ivica Vukelić, with a total vineyard area of 43 hectares. The portfolio features wines such as Grašac, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir. Harvesting is done by hand, complemented by organic approaches.
