Viña Solorca

About the estate

The Viña Solorca estate was founded in 1998 in Roa de Burgos within the heart of the Ribera del Duero denomination and is managed today as a family business by José Víctor Balbás Arroyo. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 800 to 900 meters on small hills near the Duero and Gromejón rivers, featuring soils composed of a balanced mix of limestone and sand with Tinta Fina as the planted grape variety. In the cellar, the winery accommodates a capacity for 700,000 kilograms of grapes, an annual production of around 500,000 bottles, and a barrel room holding about 3,000 casks made from various types of oak. The estate maintains a traditional approach to cultivation with a strong respect for the environment.
