About the estate

The Sommariva estate was founded in the 1970s when parents Caterino and Urbana purchased a few hectares of vineyards on the hills of San Pietro di Feletto in the center of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene appellation. Over the years, the vineyard area grew to 50 hectares, and the direct-management winery is now run by their daughter Cinzia. The focus is on the sustainable cultivation of the Glera variety, with grapes harvested entirely by hand. The soils feature unique geological differences, including iron-rich red soils at the estate headquarters and steep hillside plots across the denomination. From these sites, the winery produces refined sparkling wines and Spumanti under the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG and Prosecco DOC denominations.
