About the estate
The SMEJKAL wine estate is run as a family business by Pavel Smejkal together with his wife and grandfather. The official establishment of the estate took place with the 2021 vintage. On a vineyard area of around a quarter of a hectare in Archlebov, the family cultivates heavy, clayey soils with an eastern exposure. The grape variety spectrum includes Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Muskateller, Welschriesling, Blauer Portugieser, Zweigelt, and Blaufränkisch, among others. The portfolio is complemented by Riesling grapes from a local grower in the historic Malény vineyard site. The wines are produced dry and without residual sugar.
