About the estate
The Schwarz Michael winery is based in Andau near Lake Neusiedl and looks back on a history that began in 1999. Founded by Hans Schwarz, the estate is managed today by his son, Michael Schwarz. The vineyards are located in the areas around Andau and the Leitha Mountains, where poor gravel soils, primary rock, loam, and Leitha limestone create ideal conditions for viticulture. Many of the vines are more than 25 years old, and some even older than 50 years. During the work in the vineyard and cellar, the team places great emphasis on manual labor, the use of compost, and mechanical weed control.
The eno directory lists 13 wines, mostly from Zweigelt and Grüner Veltliner. The estate sells to horeca and retail.
