About the estate

The Schmelzer winery is based in Gols within the northern Burgenland wine-growing region near Lake Neusiedl. The estate focuses on the production of natural wines influenced by local weather, seasons, and lunar phases. Farming follows biodynamic principles and relies predominantly on manual labor in the vineyards. During vinification, filtration and the addition of sulfur are omitted to preserve the authentic character of the wines. The wines are distributed directly as well as through commercial partners.

The eno directory lists 7 wines, mostly from Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon. Export markets include Germany.
