About the estate

The Santa Margherita estate was founded in 1935 by Gaetano Marzotto, who established a large agricultural hub in the area between Fossalta di Portogruaro and the Venetian Lagoon. Spanning a vineyard area of one thousand hectares, the winery produces wines under various designations including Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG and Trentino DOC. Beginning in the post-war period, the estate firmly focused on quality wine production, introducing innovations such as the white vinification of Pinot Grigio from South Tyrol. The winery's approach relies on sustainable principles, integrated pest management, and respect for the environment, biodiversity, and the landscape.
