About the estate
The Red Wharf Bay Vineyard estate is located in Anglesey, Wales, and was established in 2010. Following initial small-scale trials and thwarted plans for a venture in Andalusia due to regulatory hurdles, the property focused its efforts on cool-climate viticulture locally. In the spring of 2016, the estate planted around four hundred vines of the Solaris and Rondo varieties. These grape varieties, well-adapted to cooler regions, form the basis for the wines produced at the vineyard.
