About the estate
The Orulisa estate was founded in 1986 by Carmen Gómez in the mountainous Liébana valley and is today managed by her daughter Isabel following a generational transition. In addition to its traditional spirits distillation, the winery has produced its own wines with a very limited output under the Vino de la Tierra de Liébana designation since the 2016 harvest. The vineyards include a plot adjacent to the distillery as well as steep, old-vine parcels in Pumareña that are registered with the Center for Research, Study and Valorization of Mountain Viticulture. The portfolio features a range of native grape varieties, yielding fresh and distinctive wines crafted in a traditional style.
