About the estate
The Morisfarms estate in Tuscany comprises two distinct properties belonging to the Moris family, including the historic Poggetti property near Massa Marittima and the Poggio la Mozza estate founded in 1971. Across a vineyard area of 35 hectares in Scansano, the family is exclusively dedicated to producing Morellino di Scansano DOCG. The sandy and clay soils shape the character of the wines, with Sangiovese serving as the dominant grape variety across both estates. The barrel room at Poggio la Mozza is used for refining the wines in French oak. In addition to wine, the estate also produces olive oil and durum wheat.
