About the estate
The Montecariano winery is located in the heart of Valpolicella in San Pietro in Cariano and manages 27 hectares of vineyards. The history of the estate is closely connected to historical roots and Roman-era artifacts discovered during the planting of the new vines. In 1992, Mariella Gini took over the family lands and currently runs the estate together with her sons Matteo and Marco. The producer's portfolio features traditional regional wines such as Valpolicella Classico and Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico. The family's approach to winemaking is deeply rooted in the identity and natural character of the local terroir.
