About the estate
The Marqués de Velilla winery was founded in 1985 by the Hernández de Mercado family in the Ribera del Duero region and has been based in La Horra since 1996. The estate manages 150 hectares of its own vineyards, planted with Tinta del País, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Merlot. In the winemaking process, the producer combines traditional methods with modern cellar technology. The grapes are harvested exclusively from the estate's own vineyards surrounding the building to ensure rapid processing. The resulting wines originate from the Ribera del Duero and Rueda denominations.
