About the estate

The Kratzer estate in Heimschuh was founded in 1951 by Josef and Resi Kratzer at Kittenberg. Over the years, the cultivated area was expanded and the farm was handed over in 1983 to Herbert Kratzer, who later completed his master training in viticulture and shifted the focus toward higher quality. Since 2015, son Michael Kratzer has been responsible for the wine production. The estate currently covers 4.5 hectares of vineyards in the South Styria region. The portfolio includes wines under the Styria DAC and South Styria DAC designations, such as Sauvignon blanc Ried Kittenberg and Riesling.
