About the estate
The Kracher winery in Illmitz is managed by Gerhard Kracher in the third generation and looks back on a rich tradition. Grandfather Alois sen. and father Alois jun. already shaped the estate's reputation as a pioneer for high-quality sweet wines. The unique terroir of the Seewinkel region by Lake Neusiedl, featuring a Pannonian climate and humid autumn mists, provides ideal conditions for cultivating botrytized grapes. Today, the estate's name stands internationally for first-class Trockenbeerenauslese wines that are appreciated around the world.
