About the estate
The Kakalík Marek winery has its roots in a vineyard planted by the winemaker's great-grandfather around 1960 in Šenkvice. After completing viticultural school in Modra, production grew to its current level of approximately 5000 bottles per year. The estate cultivates aromatic grape varieties alongside red crossings in the Kŕče vineyard. The portfolio is further complemented by inter-specific hybrid varieties managed according to organic principles to support biodiversity.
