About the estate
The Bodegas Horola winery is located in the heart of La Rioja, specifically in Baños de Río Tobía within the Najerilla Valley. The family-run estate has its foundations in the vineyards of Alesón, where grandfather Carmelo cultivated the land from the 1980s onwards, and is currently managed by his grandchildren Syam and Adrián. The portfolio relies on historical and centenarian vineyards with deep roots in the Rioja terroir. Vinification follows a meticulous, artisanal approach that includes hand-harvesting, fermentation in 500-litre oak barrels with daily rotations, and a three-month ageing period on fine lees. In addition to wine production, the estate offers guided tours and tastings for visitors.
