The Ghiraldi Francesco estate operates the Tenuta Col di Noccioli in Suvereto within the Maremma region of Tuscany. The 55 hectares of land are situated on hills near the sea, characterized by a warm and dry climate combined with stony soils. This vineyard area is the origin of the wine Sassirto, which is produced from Sangiovese grapes with the addition of Canaiolo. The maturation takes place in French oak barrels for 12 months, followed by bottle aging for another six months.
