About the estate
Located in Straden in the Vulkanland Steiermark region, the Frauwallner estate was established in 2002 when Walter Frauwallner took over the cellar of his parents mixed farm to shape it into a winery. In 2016, Walter and Petra Frauwallner took over the management of the estate, while their son Felix began his education at the Silberberg wine school in 2022. The winery is a member of the Steirische Terroir- und Klassikwinzer association and was also a co-initiator of the Eruption quality brand. A new cellar was built in the middle of the Ried Buch vineyard in 2008.
