About the estate

The Franzosi estate is located in Valtenesis in Lombardy, between Lake Garda and the moraine hills of the province of Brescia. Founded in 1938 by Giovanni Franzosi and now managed in the third generation by his grandchildren, the traditional winery cultivates 25 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards benefit from a mild microclimate, good ventilation, and a remarkable diversity of soils with sandy, gravelly, and clay-rich plots. The estate's philosophy combines the preservation of old traditions with modern agricultural and oenological techniques to enhance quality. The wines and the estate's own olive oil are exported to the Italian market as well as to numerous European countries.

The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Rebo and Groppello. The estate sells to retail. Export markets include Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland.
