Fattoria Mantellassi

About the estate

The Fattoria Mantellassi estate is located in Magliano in Tuscany and has its roots in a family that settled in the region around 1860, initially working as vine pruners and grafters. In 1960, the owners began planting their first vineyards in the Banditaccia area, which have since expanded to a total surface area of 100 hectares. These vineyards spread across tuffaceous-limestone soils on the estate hills and are cultivated predominantly with Sangiovese, alongside varieties such as Alicante, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Vermentino. The winery played a decisive role in the establishment of the Morellino di Scansano DOCG denomination.
