About the estate
The Enofanusa S.r.l. winery is one of the oldest wine estates in Sicily, with a family tradition dating back to 1793 in Syracuse within the Sicily region and the Val di Noto. Spanning 15 hectares of vineyards in Contrada Fanusa, the estate cultivates historic indigenous grape varieties on soils featuring crumbly limestone mixed with sand and marine sediments. The production includes traditional wines under the Sicilia DOC, Siracusa DOC, and Moscato di Siracusa denominations. The assortment also features rare local grapes such as Albanello siracusano and Nero d'Avola. The historic property preserves an old stone palmento, maintaining a deep-rooted connection to local winemaking heritage.
