About the estate
Located in Hampshire, the East Meon Vineyard was conceived, designed and planted by George and Clare Bartlett, who, along with their family, provide all the annual labour. The vineyard lies in a close known since ancient times as the Berrygarden, which gives its name to the vintage sparkling wine produced from the grapes grown there. The grape varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are cultivated with great care, picked on a single day, pressed together and co-fermented. Following fermentation and conditioning, usually in oak barrels, the wine is bottled and undergoes secondary fermentation and further conditioning for many months prior to disgorgement.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Exceptionally, the beautifully balanced 2018 was fermented and conditioned for 9 months in tank. It has an intensity and length of flavour, a complexity that is the result of their conditioning and the time spent under cork, and a fine mousse.
