Domaine du Trait Vert

About the estate

The Domaine du Trait Vert estate was founded by Fred Marsac and Caro Guette-Marsac and is located in Gétigné within the Loire Valley. The vineyards, situated within the AOC Muscadet Sèvre et Maine denomination, are planted predominantly with Melon de Bourgogne alongside a few rows of Folle Blanche. The soils are shallow and rich in gravel over a bedrock of gneiss and orthogneiss. The estate follows organic and biodynamic practices, utilizing animal traction for soil cultivation as well as manual vineyard management and harvesting. Vinification is carried out in alignment with the lunar calendar.
