About the estate
The Domaine de Rieu Frais estate is located in the heart of the Baronnies in Sainte-Jalle within the Rhône Valley, cultivating 35 hectares of vineyards. The vines grow on clay-limestone soils at altitudes between 420 and 600 meters, benefiting from a combined Mediterranean and alpine microclimate. Established as a family business in 1983, the property has farmed its entire production under certified organic agriculture since 2007. The vinification process utilizes grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Pinot Noir, and Gamay. All wines produced by the estate fall under the protected geographical indication Coteaux des Baronnies.
