About the estate

The Domaine du Bourgeais estate is located in Vertou within the Loire Valley and has been run by the Albert family for over fifty years. Spanning 40 hectares of vineyards predominantly planted with Melon de Bourgogne on micaschist and orthogneiss soils, the property focuses on producing wines under the AOC Muscadet Sèvre et Maine and Val de Loire IGP denominations. The estate follows sustainable farming practices and initiated a conversion to organic agriculture, harvesting its first certified organic vintage in 2023. All stages of production, from cultivating the grapes to bottling, are managed internally to ensure quality and traceability.
