About the estate
The Domaine des Athénées is the wine-producing estate of the agricultural and viticultural school of Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire, serving as a comprehensive educational and production platform. The estate spans 8.5 hectares of vineyards and cultivates grape varieties such as Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Gamay, Chasselas, and Chardonnay for sparkling wine production. Vinification takes place in a modern cellar equipped with temperature-controlled tanks, a concrete egg, and dedicated space for barrel aging. In addition to providing hands-on training for students across all aspects of winemaking, the estate commercializes its wines through partner resellers, markets, and the on-site shop.
