About the estate
The Domaine de la Closerie estate is located in the west of Touraine along the Loire River, with four generations of winemakers having succeeded one another here. The estate buildings date from the early twentieth century and housed a brewery until 1830. The wines from the Bourgueil and St-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil appellations are produced from the Cabernet Franc grape variety. Following a selection of the finest grapes, the wines are aged in oak barrels for six months in the cellar and bottled on-site. Since the 2013 vintage, the estate has been in conversion to organic farming.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Cabernet Franc.
