About the estate
The Domaine de la Chapelle estate was founded in 1983 by Philippe Pichard, who took over his grandparents' vineyards in Cravant-les-Côteaux. Today, the winery cultivates a total area of 18 hectares within the AOC Chinon appellation, consisting of 16.5 hectares of Cabernet Franc and 1.5 hectares of Chenin Blanc. The vineyards are situated at the Le Puy locality along the banks of the Vienne river. To preserve the environment and harvest pure fruit, the estate applies the practices of organic farming and biodynamics. Laurent Dumas owns the property, with Romain Guiberteau joining the team as an advisor since 2025.
