About the estate
The family-run Domaine de la Chanteleuserie is located in Benais in the Loire Valley and traces its origins back to 1937. Eight generations of winemakers manage twenty hectares of vineyards dedicated exclusively to Cabernet Franc. The vineyards are situated on limestone plateaus, clay-limestone soils, as well as sand and gravel soils within the Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil appellations. Vinification is carried out traditionally, split between wooden vats and stainless steel tanks, while the estate has transitioned towards organic farming. In addition to red and rosé wines, sparkling wines are also produced.
