About the estate
The Domaine de Beauclair estate in Noizay is managed by Freddy Blot representing the tenth generation of winemakers, with the winery's establishment dating back to 1953. Spanning 21 hectares of vineyards, the estate cultivates parcels featuring diverse terroirs including sandy, clay, and limestone soils. The viticulture encompasses parcels aged up to eighty years dedicated to producing Vouvray still wines and traditional method sparkling wines. Additionally, red grape varieties such as Gamay noir and Groleau are grown on sandy soils for rosé sparkling wines. The vinification and aging processes take place within a hand-carved underground cellar carved into the rock.
The eno directory lists 8 wines, mostly from Chenin Blanc and Gamay.
