About the estate

The Domaine Batard Langelier winery is located in Maisdon sur Sèvre in the Loire Valley and is run by the third generation. The estate manages 20 hectares of vineyards on gentle slopes between the Sèvre Nantaise and Maine rivers. The old vines grow on varied metamorphic soils including granite, gneiss, and gabbro under oceanic influence. The grape variety Melon de Bourgogne dominates the portfolio, complemented by Folle Blanche, and falls within the AOC Muscadet Sèvre et Maine denomination. Cultivation follows organic farming practices combined with traditional vinification methods.
