Domaine Andau

About the estate

The Domaine Andau was founded in 1959 as a cooperative by courageous winegrowers in Andau in Burgenland and is now one of Austria's largest producers with around 600 hectares of vineyards. The region is characterized by hot, dry summers and Lake Neusiedl, which together with poor, iron-rich gravel soils create ideal conditions for wines full of character. In this community, nearly 90 families cultivate the vineyards, which are predominantly planted with local grape varieties such as Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Sankt Laurent, Grüner Veltliner, and Welschriesling. The quality of the wines is based on fully ripe and healthy grapes produced through collaborative and natural labor.
