About the estate
The Cortijo Los Aguilares estate is located at an altitude of over 900 metres in the Serranía de Ronda within the Sierras de Málaga denomination. The vineyards are situated in one of the southernmost wine-growing regions of Europe on clay-limestone soils. The unique character of the terroir is shaped by the proximity to the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, abundant winter rainfall, and significant diurnal temperature variations. The grape varieties cultivated by the winery include Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Syrah, among others. These conditions define the profile of the wines produced in this mountainous environment.
