Clos Fornelli

About the estate

The Clos Fornelli estate is located in Tallone within the Provence - Corse region and has been managed since 2005 by a dedicated duo who renovated a former cellar on the property to begin winemaking. The vineyards are situated inland on the alluvial terraces of the Bravone River, featuring soils composed of fluvial deposits, schist, and numerous rolled pebbles that impart a distinct mineral signature. The estate exclusively cultivates native Corsican grape varieties such as Niellucciu, Sciaccarellu, and Vermentinu, alongside the gradual reintroduction of rare historical varieties. Chemical weedkillers are avoided, and the vineyards are managed without irrigation by choice to encourage deep root growth and climate resilience. Vinification focuses on producing authentic terroir-driven wines that reflect the unique environment of the island.
